Growing up in East Tennessee, Lauren’s defining characteristics were her curiosity and individuality. She attributes her creativity to her mom and her hardworking attitude to her dad, who both always encouraged her to pursue an artistic career.

This led to studying Interior Architecture and Design at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where Lauren was drawn to the balance of technicality and artistry within the field. With one internship in Florida and another in North Carolina under her belt, she graduated from UTC with her Bachelor of Science Degree and a passion for residential design. After three years of experience with a distinguished design studio, exposure to countless allied professionals, and the encouragement of her husband, she took a chance on herself and Freewill Designs was born!

Her goal is always to create an environment that feels true to the client in a place that is extremely personal — their home.
